Privacy Policy

Through this Jamati Services Fund (JSF) registration and contribution process, certain personal information will be collected by the Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for Canada (“CFC”) on behalf of itself, its regional Councils, all boards and portfolios existing under the CFC and such regional Councils, and all other Jamati institutions, including the Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board (collectively, the “Institutions”) for the purposes of: (a) planning and administering the JSF and related programs, (b) institutional planning and fundraising to assist with the creation, review and/or implementation of programs and services intended to benefit the Ismaili Jamat in Canada and abroad, (c) notification and/or delivery of other programs and services by the Institutions, (d) statistical analysis to assist the Institutions in fulfilling their mandates, (e) administration of Jamati surveys, and (f) planning of or response to a natural disaster or other event deemed to be an emergency or imminent threat to the Jamat (collectively, the “Purposes”). The personal information collected for the foregoing Purposes will also be shared among the Institutions and with similar organizations which require such information for similar or related purposes.

By completing this registration process and by providing your and/or the other contributors’ personal information herein, you and each contributed on whose behalf you have registered or contributed are deemed to consent to the Institutions’ collection, use and disclosure of such personal information for the Purposes identified above and you certify that the information provided is correct and accurate in all respects. You and each contributor noted on this form are also deemed to consent to and hereby agree to be contacted directly by the Institutions (or any of them) in the future in connection with any of the Purposes identified above.

Email Communications

Canada’s anti-spam legislation (“CASL”) regulates the distribution of commercial electronic messages. To comply with the law, the Institutions are required to obtain your consent in order to send you these types of communications.

Please note that not all electronic messages are subject to CASL and the Institutions may continue to provide you with some electronic communications as may be permitted by law.
